Warwick Applefest

The Warwick Applefest is a highly anticipated event in the Hudson Valley. Every year Warwick has a T-Shirt design contest limited to local residents. I decided to enter and I won - twice!

The work featured here was done for Diageo, a global leader in beverage alcohol. I have worked on new bottle design concepts, label art and specialty packaging for new products as well as line extensions. This is a small sampling of the work I have done for this great company.

Toys"R"Us 2018 Spring & Summer Campaign

There's more than one way to go down a slide. There are no books on the "right" way to play in a sandbox. And the best part about mud pies is that each kid has their own recipe. When it comes to play, there are NO rules. And when kids go outside in the fresh air and warm sunshine…that’s when imaginations can really bloom.

This summer campaign was developed to support outdoor play and the today we play tagline. For this campaign, we wanted to show kids being kids - playing their way. Taking their action figures into the backyard. Riding their bikes through puddles after it rains. Photography was developed to show what really happens when kids get outside. We had big plans to show we understand the way kids play. To show Toys”R”Us is the expert in play, content was developed to offer ideas and “Ways to play” in all vehicles including email and social. Video content was to show different ways to play with our big-ticket items. Swing set games, bicycle obstacle courses, and kiddie pool ring toss to name a few. It was going to be a great summer!

Annunziato Iron Brand

Annunziato Iron is a small business that does steel and aluminum welding and repairs. The use of the forks on the “A” shape gives this brand a solid foundation and connects to the “A” in Annunziato. The graphics are consistently used in black and white for a clean, yet tough look. Business cards, invoices, truck graphics and promotional materials were created to support the day to day business.

Geoffrey's Birthday Club

Toys”R”Us offered this free program for kids to gain customer loyalty and stay top of mind for all birthday needs. I supported the program as the lead manager and designer of all marketing materials. This program was supported across all channels including in-store events, website, email, social media, and print collateral.

The Babies”R”Us Guide program was developed to help parents-to-be shop the most overwhelming categories in the store. I worked with the new business marketing team to evaluate and streamline the information in 4 key areas. The color coded system broke down information into the simplest facts. This system included wayfinding signage, info signs, revamped product specific POP, brochures and handheld scanner interface.

Environmental graphic

I was very involved in the design, direction and development of all Toys"R"Us and Babies"R"Us store graphics. I worked with my internal team and outside vendors to create these special in store environments. I would design, provide direction and educate other designers to understand the mechanics of the shop and the artwork. I developed guidelines and style guide documents to ensure smooth implementation of these shops.

For the launch of Star Wars Clone Wars I worked with marketing, visual, vendor partners, printers and designers to bring this very special shop to life. Complete with countdown clock, die cut dimensional mask, lug on and foil. The tricky part about this feature shop location is the many different store configurations. This shop needs to be design in a modular system to break down for smaller stores.

Toys"R"Us Brand

Being the Creative Manager of the Toys”R”Us Brand team meant I got to touch every part of the brand. I always tell people I work on receipt tape to corporate websites. Every customer touch point with the brand is so critical. The graphics and words you use on that receipt tape better embody the joy the brand brings to the customer and I always made sure it did. From the colorful shopping bags to the fun gift cards I am proud to say I had an integral part in the brand evolution. I was also very involved in the corporate brand and worked on building graphics, corporate website and stationery.

I developed the typography and illustration style that impacted the look and feel of the Toys”R”Us brand for the holiday season and beyond. Point of Purchase 3D Design

Pepperidge Farm produced seasonal displays to sell their cookies and famous Gold Fish crackers. I collaborated closely with the client and the corrugate display company to create these colorful and versatile displays. All displays started out as sketches and came to life with unique structures and colorful graphics. Many of them broke down into smaller configurations to appeal to grocery stores of all sizes. Created sell sheets, FSI and promotional materials that went along with each theme. Illustrated and created all the graphics and even won a POPAI award or two! One of the holiday displays made a cameo appearance in the movie "Christmas with the Kranks."

 This holiday display was made to look extra warm and welcoming with lacy curtains and a wreath in every window. This year featured a partnership with Katie Brown and included promotional materials and Sell Sheets for the display.
